What’s happening in Illinois?

This year, lawmakers considered Senate Bill 3707 (SB 3707), which, if enacted as originally written, would have impacted your access to vision care. 

The 2026 Illinois State Legislative Session has adjourned. SB 3707 passed and we anticipate the bill being signed by Governor JB Pritzker. Advocacy efforts supported adjustments to the original bill which resulted in legislation that maintains access and affordability for Illinoisans.  

Impacts of this bill include:  

  • Adjustments to agreements between providers and vision plans 

  • Limits on discounts available through eye care providers
